Vanira was a weyrwoman at Southern Weyr during the Ninth Pass. Her dragon was gold Ralenth.
Biography
Vanira moved to Benden Weyr after the Oldtimers were exiled to the Southern Continent.
Inconsistency
In the (People of Pern) sections of Dragonflight, Dragonquest and The White Dragon, Vanira is cross-referenced as both Nanira and Varena.
Only Varena appears in the text of any Pern book, and only in Dragonquest.
