Lazybones is a brown fire lizard that bonded with Menolly during the Ninth Pass.
Biography[]
Lazybones is one of Menolly's original nine fire lizards. Like his siblings, he was born in a small cavern in a cliff near the Dragon Stones. Menolly, having taken shelter in the cave during Threadfall, began feeding the fire lizards spiderclaws, and Impressed nine of them. The fire lizards lived with Menolly in that cave for a number of months before moving to Benden Weyr, where Menolly worried about him getting fed, and then to the Harper Hall along with Menolly. He currently lives with Menolly and Sebell at Harper Hall.
Personality and traits[]
Lazybones is slightly larger than his fellow browns Mimic and Brownie. He earned his name after Menolly observed how he would always fall asleep when given the chance. He also tends to lie around and wait for his meal to come to him, and is most often seen snoozing or flying near Menolly when the mood suits him.
