Benden Weyr

K'net was a Bronze Rider and a Wingleader at Benden Weyr during the later part of the Eighth Interval and the Ninth Pass.

Biography

At some point during the Eighth Interval, K'net Impressed bronze Piyanth. He was younger than most of the other seven bronze riders at Benden Weyr at the start of the Ninth Pass and exasperated with the decline of the Weyr under the leadership of R'gul.

At the behest of Lessa, K'net began injudiciously raiding livestock from the Holds that failed to send tithe. F'lar was out looking for K'net, intending to stop his pilfering, when the Weyr's other bronzes began blooding their kills in preparation for Ramoth's first mating flight. F'lar and K'net barely made it back in time to be contenders.

K'net was one of the first riders to openly support F'lar in the first Council meeting following the latter's promotion to Weyrleader. However, the meeting was taking place only due to the fact that the Lord Holders of Telgar, Nabol, Fort, Igen, Keroon, and several lesser Holds discerned that the Weyr was responsible for their recent losses and marched on Benden. F'lar did not tolerate his flagrant disrespect towards R'gul, but did not punish him as harshly as it was implied R'gul intended to.

After the resolution of the confrontation with the Holders, K'net was ordered to surveil the Nabolese to ensure they returned peacefully to their Hold.

Personality

K'net was described as young and brash. He was outspoken in his support of F'lar's more active leadership style and derisive of R'gul, whom he considered a fool.
