J'ran, formerly Jaran, was a dragonrider at Benden Weyr late in the First Pass and early in the First Interval.
Jaran was the wherhandler for Benden Hold's watch-wher Bendensk before Bendensk inadvertently injured Tieran so severely. After Wind Blossom discussed the problem with M'hall, Wind Blossom came to the conclusion that, since Jaran was searched and impressed (and became J'ran) a week before it happened, the watch-wher would have been confused and seeking out a new wherhandler.
