J'lian was a dragonrider late in the Second Interval and early in the Third Pass. His dragon was bronze Neruth.
Biography
J'lian and the rest of his wing came to be known as "J’lantir’s famous lost Wing” after they went missing for a week, never explaining where they had gone or what they had done. J'lian and the rest of his wing had been approached by a future version of their wingleader J'lantir, who ordered them to collect fruit from the Southern Continent and bring it to his time. He would not tell them why since it was in their future. When they reached the future, they learned that the fruit was used to help holders recover from the flu pandemic.
Fiona was very pleased with the outcome of the mating flight at Eastern Weyr that paired Jassi with J'lian. He was no youngster, but after the devastating losses in the Istan leadership, he was the obvious future leader of Ista Weyr; and, his Neruth’s mating with Jassi’s Falth meant that, on her return to Ista, he would become the true Weyrleader, just as she would inherit the senior Weyrwoman role vacated by Dalia.
