Irene was Weyrwoman of Benden Weyr during the First Interval. Her dragon was Maruth. Her weyrmate was M'shall.
Biography
Irene kept records of Lord Holder Chalkin's dealings with the weyr and his treatment of his holders.
Irene participated in the impeachment of Chalkin and his removal from Bitra.
When several dragonriders went to the Southern Continent to witness the first Threadfall, Irene and the other queen riders convinced the other dragons to leave the area instead of fighting the Thread.
