Falga was the Weyrwoman at High Reaches Weyr during the Sixth Pass. Her dragon was gold Tamianth.
Biography[]
Since Falga knew about healing dragons, especially how to draw ichor, she shared information with journeyman healer Pressen, who hadn't worked with dragons until he came to High Reaches Weyr.
While attending the Ruatha Gather, Falga complimented Lord Holder Alessan on his first Gather. "Best Gather I've been to in Turns. You've outshone your sire who is, as of this moment, no longer lamented. He set a good spread but nothing to compare to this. S'ligar will be sorry he didn't come with me."
During a threadfall, both Tamianth and Falga were injured. Tamianth had risen at an angle so that Falga could bring the flamethrower into action, but they blundered into an updraft before they could correct. A great gout of Thread fell across Tamianth's wing and into her shoulder, then across Falga's leg.
As Falga was recovering from wound fever, she repeatedly called out, "Water! Water, Please, water!" Many people didn't immediately realize that she wanted water for Tamianth. When Moreta examined Tamianth, she saw that, in addition to being severely dehydrated, Tamianth was in danger of bleeding to death. Moreta said, "The fault is mine, Pressen. I ought to have seen to the side as well. What happened is that Threadscore ruptured veins along the side and shoulders. Numbweed covered the ooze. Ichor isn’t reaching the wing. We’ll need to repair the veins."
