Emmett was a bronze fire lizard belonging to Sorka Hanrahan.
When Thread first fell on Pern, Emmett was one of the many fire lizards accompanying Sorka and Sean Connell on a hunting trip. Emmett and the other fire lizards attacked the horses, Doove and Cricket, in order to force them under a ledge for protection. During Threadfall, Emmett and the others flamed the Thread.
After Sorka impressed Faranth, Emmett often helped Sorka feed her gold dragon.
