The Eastern Current was one of two great currents running through the oceans of Pern between the Northern and Southern Continents. The Eastern Current was south of the Western Current and flowed from west to east.
During the Second Crossing, Jim Tillek's fleet sailed into the Eastern Current and turned into the Western Current before reaching the Fort harbor.
