Birto (later B'irto) was a dragonrider at Benden Weyr during the Ninth Pass. His dragon was bronze Cabenth.
B'irto Impressed Cabenth from one of Ramoth's clutches 4.30.8. Felessan cheered Birto from the viewing stands, while Lord Jaxom was worried about the smallest egg which later hatched as Ruth.

In 'The People of Pern' section of Dragonflight and Dragonquest, Birto's dragon Cabenth is listed as "dragon bronze Cabenth".
In 'The People of Pern' section of The White Dragon, Birto's dragon Cabenth is listed as "dragon brown Seventh". Seventh is actually B'naj's dragon.
