Fisher BlankHold

Binness was a journeyman in the Fishercraft in the Ninth Pass.

Binness resided at Sunrise Cliff Seahold, where he was Seaholder in addition to being a journeyman in the Fishercraft. The Seahold was one of several that was beholden to Monaco Bay Weyr. Binness was at the seahold when a large Fireball impacted in the sea. He and his holders would see the resultant impact, but were unaware of the importance, despite a subsequent warning from Dolphins. Binness was then visited by three dragonriders, F'lessan from Benden Weyr, and St'ven and Cr'eel of Monaco Bay Weyr, who had come to evacuate the seaholders to higher ground.

Binness did not believe the dragonriders claims of an incoming tsunami. The riders would attempt to invoke Masterfishman Curran to get him to cooperate, but were unsuccessful, as Binness knew Curran's true location. Binness would only agree to evacuate after feeling the groundshock from the fireball impact. Binness would begin moving his holders to higher ground, and was the last to leave. Binness was nearly crushed by the incoming tsunami, but was saved at the last minute by F'lessan's dragon Golanth. A few days later, Binness was seen with the other seaholders in their temporary lodgings, and noted that they were okay since the dragonriders had managed to save their boats.
