Aseth was a bronze dragon from Telgar Weyr near the end of the Second Interval. His rider was D'lin, son of Telgar Weyrleader D'gan.
When D'gan took his sick dragon Kaloth and the entire complement of Telgar dragons to fight Thread, Kaloth was too sick to receive proper coordinates, causing all the dragons and their riders to be lost between. D'lin tried to respond to the emergency, but in his haste to get to Benden Weyr, he failed to give Aseth proper coordinates and they emerged from between in solid rock.
Centuries later, F'lar, trying to caution Lessa against careless flying between, told her that they once found at Benden a rider and his dragon entombed together in the rock.
